As already discussed in the original Idiot Assed Columnists post, whoever these people are writing articles lately for some of the Jalopnik, Gizmodo, Kotaku, and Deadspin family of blogs, writers they are not. Idiots…they are.
It wouldn’t be such a big deal if they weren’t so damn annoying with their sheer and utter idiocy, but indeed, their lack of intelligence and understanding about the things of which they write knows no bounds whilst exceeding all.
Jason Torchinsky recently managed to raise the stupidity bar with his useless take on GM designers and their concept art when he so willingly showed the entire world that he likes to write about trucks but actually knows nothing about them…
After seeing the latest concept art for the GMC Sierra 3500 HD Denali he just couldn’t help but make an ass of himself.
“Just take a moment and really look at that thing. Holy shit. What…what happened to you, designer? The world is scary sometimes, sure, but not that scary. I promise, there’s still good in the world! You don’t have to hole up in a slit-windowed steel parapet with a battering ram up front.”
“Seriously, is that thing made for humans? How the fuck would you see out of that thing? How would you drive this thing anywhere other than a vast, empty highway?”
Well Jason, do you ask tractor trailer drivers how THEY see the road, especially given that they are much higher off the ground and have longer hoods in a lot of cases? Idiot.
“It’s got barely any ground clearance in the front, so I’m not thinking it’d be good for off-roading, even if you could find a gap between two trees wide enough to fit it.”
Absolute idiot. No one in the history of trucks would ever think this thing is for off road usage, it’s obviously for towing. How can this guy possibly know this little about trucks?
“And look how high the bed sides are—how the hell would you load shit in there? If you park it, do you have to pay property tax? Is the view out the windshield anything other than sky and hood? Does it just give up on having a lane-departure warning and just have a county-departure warning?”
Idiot again. IT’S FOR TOWING. That means it needs to be big, and since it’s for towing most likely with a fifth wheel hitch, that means you’re probably not putting things in the bed anyway (where the hitch is) but rather TOWING a trailer with things in it. Idiot.
“Does it just scream constantly? Is the hood so high because the pistons have a stroke measured by the foot? Do you need a ladder to change the air cleaner?”
Again, just an all around idiot that doesn’t understand trucks because he’s grown up in Toyota Priuses his entire life and thinks these dimwitted sarcastic questions are funny when in reality it sadly shows what a complete idiot assed columnist this guy is.
Here is what the current Sierra 3500 HD Denali looks like when it’s doing what it is designed to do, TOW heavy things. Jason Torchinsky, stick to writing about things where you might actually know what you’re talking about – most likely Barbie dolls and My Little Ponies, bronie.

Saying it like it is.
